Club's Emergency Extraordinary Meeting

Reminder - 3rd of May Extraordinary general meeting

Our Chess club has been told by Rooty Hill RSL club that, all chess club members must be members of Rooty Hill RSL if we are to continue getting a grant from the RSL

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary general meeting of the Rooty Hill RSL chess club has been called for the 3rd of May 7.30pm prior to the start of rd 4 Club Rapid Chess Championship (30min)

The purpose of this meeting to pass an amendments to the constition of the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club To reflect our commitment to the Rooty Hill RSL club, that only members of Rooty Hill RSL Club will be allowed to join the Chess Club and in the case of juniors at least one parent to be a member of the Club art 3 I and IV to be altered to read.

Current - I. Members: Any person may become a member by payment of a fee as determined by the preceding Annual General Meeting and by providing the details required on the prescribed application form. A member shall cease to be a member if his/her membership fee is more than one month in arrears. The Council of the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club shall have the right to refuse the application of any person who has been suspended, expelled, or misbehaved at any tournament and has been reported by the Director of Play.

Proposed - I. Current - IV Cessation of Membership A person ceases to be a member of the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club if the person dies, resigns that membership, or is expelled from the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club.

Proposed - IV Cessation of Membership A person ceases to be a member of the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club if the person dies, resigns that membership, "their, or in the case of a Junior their Parents, membership of the Rooty Hill RSL Club lapses," or is expelled from the Rooty Hill RSL Chess Club.
